Pink Peppercorns are fragile, fruity berries with a nice peppery sweet taste. They originate from Brazil, but are not true peppercorns. They come from two gifts of nature, the Baies Rose Plant and the Peruvian Pepper tree. These peppercorns have certain components such as anthocyanins, bioflavonoids, along with gallic acid to prevent various health conditions such as respiratory ailments, cancer and even diabetes. These berries are perfect for cream sauces, seafood and even fruit. They could easily be crushed in order to give color to certain dishes. Dried whole peppercorns may be stored in a cool, dark place for up to a year; ground pepper will keep for up to four months.
